Legionella Risk Assessment is the starting place for all water hygiene maintenance work on hot and cold-water systems. The law requires that a water risk assessment is carried out with a site specific schematic of the water system. This involves a visit to your site by a Water Risk Assessor who will look at all aspects of your hot and cold-water systems to identify any risks. They will also look at your internal control measures whether you have contracted this out or carry it out internally. Your site-specific logbook will be reviewed, and remedial actions taken to remove any risks which could put the occupants of the building at risk of contracting Legionnaires Disease.
A schematic drawing of your system is also drawn and added to the Risk Assessment so you have a comprehensive document to follow for the next two years.
